Introduction
Some people think that to make a website, you have to purchase expensive softwareown your site on the internet and have a good internet connection, however this is not true!
How to do it
All you actually need is a computer, that's it! All computers come installed with some sort of text editing software,
on Windows it is notepad, on a Mac it is TextEdit. After making your web page, you will need to go to file, Save As.
It will probably say something like "*.txt" however replace this with "index.htm" if it is your home page, or
if it is a sub page type in the name of the sub page (no spaces, use dashes or underscores instead) e.g. "contact-us" followed by ".htm".
That's it!
That's it, all you need to do! To view your page just go to the folder you saved it in and open the htm version of it.
Tip:
Its always a good idea to keep a ".txt" version of the page, so you can edit it in future, but if you forget, just go the the website, and "View The Source" here you will be able to edit the page again and just overwrite the old one when you save.
